Maybe its been said, but I don't see why Rangers should have quivers and other classes nada. I wouldn't mind if all classes got something. (sheaths, etc)

Why? What possible purpose could it serve? Haven't you noticed? This is the magical land of Tyria and in Tyria the magical arrow faeries bring you arrows as you need them. Quivers will anger the arrow faeries and then rangers will become nerfed as they futiley try to beat enemies to death with their bows.

ok this all goes back to the bow strings and fuzzy armor conversations, and theres simple reasons:
1) GW is meant for the community people, some who dont have highpowered comps and stuff like that so they take out the unnecasary little things, and make armor of other chars in outposts a little less defined than yours, bow strings would also be taxing on these people's computers *ddep breath*. This makes for less comp power
2) If GW added some of these, as said above, some people would just lag out all the time and GW would lose some of their costumers, and yes that would be bad .

I can see why having bowstrings and stuff would be laggy, but a quiver is just a quiver! The arrows could just be stationary, and you wouldn't actually see one pulled out when you attack with a bow. It would just be an addition to the armor, like assassins have thousands of knives.
The only problem is when you get, say, a monk or an ele using a bow. But they can just conjure up an arrow fairy. I'm a ranger. I deserve somewhere else to store my arrows except... there...

not only quivers...i think u shood ahve to buy arrows like 100g for 1000 arrows so like cheap but u still have to buy them cuz even if u have a quiver they still wood pop out of no where. quivers shood also have stats like part of an armor set.

If you did that, you would have to give rangers a dramatic power boost. Really, I mean, if you didn't, rangers would suck so badly. And I probably use about 500 arrows a mission, what if I ran out? And even if they we're that cheap, in PVP would would make no gain in money, so rangers would always be strapped for cash. And in PVP? You couldn't physically use rangers as PVP only. And also, if I did run out, it would make me useless, and allies would complain. Then if you did give rangers a power boost, they would overpower other races, as long as they were well equipped. Which would suck for other classes. So no, having to buy arrows would be a really bad idea.

/signed for quivers (for cosmetic purposes)
The Afflicted Rangers have quivers, so why not us Anet? Check their animation, it's just the way it should be for rangers imo.
/signed for bowstrings
The animation on the bows are very nice (the way they bend), but why no bowstrings? I can't imagine that it really will cause lag issues.

Hmm, and the animating glowing stuff on certain weapon skins and for example the piece of cloth that hangs from the broadsword (moves like a cape), will also cause lag?
I'm no expert on this but I don't think this will be a big issue.

it would be cool but I doubt ANet will go through all the trouble to adding the quiver graphic which would cost time and make them no money XD

I noticed this thread as i was reading through stuff (my first post here, just signed up) and thought i'd add my own lil 2 cents. My very first character was a ranger, the day my small town actually got Guild Wars (about 2 weeks after it came out). Yes, i believe a quiver should be equipted with the bow in the second hand slot. there should be a cosmetic image for any character armed with a bow, however, there should also be items that are "magical" that can be placed in the secondhand slot. now, before i go confusing myself and others, allow me to explain jsut a little bit. If you're going to use a bow... you're going to have a quiver.. period. So all bows will give you the "basic" quiver grafic. quiver "items" should be items that will replace the "basic" quiver. These items could have very minor bonuses on them. Nothing like an energy focus mind you, a ranger with a +12 energy quiver would just be slightly painful.. I'd say the quiver should be upgraded with the different condition lengthening types of arrows "poison, bleeding, etc.." however, due to anet already doing it with the strings, it would be a giant pain for them to do that. so just make them give a minor bonus... default being half of a focus, ei +6 energy (req 9 marksmanship). blue, purple, gold, or green quivers could give bonuses such as (max suggestions here) +15 health, +6 armor (to all, phyiscal, or elemental), or possibly Attack Skill (and only BOW attacks) recharge time (not more than 1 or 2 seconds for any skill, and no skill can be lowered below 1 second recharge). Basically, put a quiver image, but also allow that image to be changed with the quiver item, and allow minor bonuses for the quiver.

I'm not up for cosmetical changes until some gameplay things are fixed. I would much rather have an auction house or a rejoin feature then something as miniscule as a quiver. I mean come on, does it matter?

I if A.net created a extra slot to put Quivers on your back, then yes.
If it changed the limit of arrows then no.
At the end of the day it really doesn't matter. As long as there is balance.
